At MEC, we’re always working to develop our business. Team-building days and getaways are an important part of how we do this, but they shouldn’t mean that we have to take our employees away from their loved ones.

So, for our most recent team event – a weekend away at RACV Royal Pines Resort on 2 and 3 March 2019 – we invited families to join us.

While we put our heads together in a team workshop from 10am-3pm, our partners and children enjoyed time at the resort, taking advantage of the pool and playgrounds or relaxing in their rooms.

After a productive Saturday reflecting on MEC’s goals and developing plans for the future, our team and their families got together for drinks and dinner. The following day was all about a hearty breakfast and more family fun before the journey home.

We feel that creating a team weekend that is inclusive of families speaks to three of our key values at MEC:

• We are courageous in dealing with people and ideas.

We’re delighted with how the weekend went (the kids in particular will tell you that it was a roaring success!) and happy that we can offer these experiences to our employees.
