OVERVIEW
MEC provided Metro Mining Limited with and update to the Ore Reserve and Resource estimates for the Bauxite Hills Mine, effective as of December 31, 2023. This update accounts for mining activities conducted during the 2023 calendar year.
The total Ore Reserve is now estimated at 83.2 million wet tonnes, with an average alumina (Al₂O₃) content of 49.8% and silica (SiO₂) at 13.1%. The total Mineral Resource stands at 118.7 million dry tonnes, averaging 49.2% Al₂O₃ and 14.1% SiO₂. This comprehensive assessment provides a solid foundation for the ongoing development and operational planning of the Bauxite Hills Mine.
