Manager of Geotechnical - Acting

BSc(EarthSc),MSc (MiningEng)

Hendrik is an experienced hard rock metalliferous geotechnical engineer with a demonstrated history as a mining professional since 1991. He has a comprehensive understanding with hands-on experience in mine geomechanics for the purpose of mining method and layout design via rock mass characterisation and geotechnical domain modelling followed by ground movement instrumentation, monitoring and TARP setting. He has a comprehensive understanding in fit-for-purpose mine layout design and associate drill and blast practices to maintain rock mass integrity. Hendrik has applied experience in a variety of mining methods from caving (block and sub-level), stoping (with and without backfill), cut and fill (for narrow vein mining) as well as porphyry and kimberlite open pit mining.
