What comes after October? Movember of course!
The men and women of MEC Mining will be getting behind the Movember cause this year and cultivating their facial hair to raise money and awareness for men’s health.
The Movember Foundation is tackling the biggest health issues faced by men:
- prostate cancer
- testicular cancer
- mental health
- suicide.
Movember first launched in Melbourne in 2003 with 30 participants, and has since grown into a global movement that draws support from millions of men (and women!) the world over. In those 15 years, the Movember Foundation has funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects, and by 2030 they plan to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25 percent.
