MEC Lunch and Learn – Ventilation and Gas Drainage Planning
In 2015, ACARP funded a study of the status of ventilation and gas drainage management in Australian coal mines. The study, conducted by Bruce Robertson and Andrew Self, found that there was significant room for improvement in a number of aspects and recommended a program of work including the development of guidelines, scoping studies and research. In a follow-up project, Bruce and Andrew developed a number of these guidelines which were published in June 2019.
Bruce will discuss the outcomes of the ACARP projects, focusing especially on ventilation and gas drainage planning guidelines.
